The story how it all began and suddenly fell into place
When I suddenly found myself a single I had tons of time at hand so I practiced and practiced vintage hair-dos and spended all my spare time with photoshoots. First no one took me serious, cause there was no one else doing pin up in Germany at this time. There was Sweetness which was doing Rockabilly-Style pics and a lady specialised on retro glamour portraits but no "authentic pin up model" with bullet bras, girdles etc. etc... Most photographers thought I´m nuts for "limiting" on this. You can imagine it was absolute pioneer work in the early years and it took a while to be exepted, but it is so worth it.
I love the sweetness and innocence of pin up spiced up with a bit of sex appeal. Just a little bit of stocking-tops makes such a difference. Hence my biggest inspirations are the drawings of Gil Elvgren, Alberto Vargas, Peter Driben and Bill Ward to me. There are too many wonderfull pin up models of the present so it doesn´t seem fair to point out just a few. Any pretty lady with a adorable smile is my inspiration.
People ask me wether I make a living of this. No. While sometimes I get pay-jobs as a pin up I do it purely for the love and fun of it. This is what Iam like 24/7. I don´t play dress up for my pin up shoots though off course I tame it down a bit for my every day life. Stockings are expensive ya know...
