Sari - the german pin up girl and retro model

When I started with pin up photos in May 2004 I didn´t think there´d be anything resulting from that. I never even dreamt that people would have an interest in what I do, that I´d be in TV with it, appear in newspapers, have a following and not even that I´d get a own website! Even today after doing this for 6 years I still get all exited when I get fanmail, when something about me is released, yes, even when I just stumble over something nice about me in the internet. When someone actually recognises me I get so dizzy in my head it´s a wonder I don´t faint.

Ever since I was little I liked to watch old movies and played dress up, but it wasn´t until 2003 that I stumbled over my first pin up book. Googling the internet I found out that there are ladies doing pin ups nowadays, too, not in Germany but anyway, and I kept in my mind that I would like to do something like that, too. Meanwhile I badly needed money as the boyfriend I had during that time lived in Sweden which resulted in me flying back and forth every month as often as I could, besides I went to school to learn Swedish as Ihe wanted me to move there. So I started mainstream modelling to earn some extra money, however I wasn´t too happy with it. After a while I stumbled in a photographer with connections to a very famous make up and hairstyling school and did a pin up shooting with him. After this I knew one thing: This is what I want to do !
